Restore-point workflow

Steps

1. Open Backup & Restore from Profile. The screen shows private backup health and restore-point snapshots for the signed-in app account.
2. Read the health rows first. Review last successful sync, last complete snapshot, next automatic snapshot eligibility, and any blockers before relying on a restore point.
3. Resolve blockers before snapshot work. Pending, syncing, failed, or queued records, tombstones, photos, receipt originals, or network policy can block automatic snapshots, manual snapshots, and restore.
4. Understand current tier retention. Premium keeps the 7 most recent complete automatic daily snapshots. Exclusive keeps the 31 most recent automatic snapshots plus the 10 most recent manual snapshots.
5. Use manual backup only where available. Back Up Now is an Exclusive manual snapshot action and runs only after sync is healthy. Premium manual-backup attempts do not create normal manual snapshots.
6. Treat restore as full account recovery. Restore replaces the current account data with the selected snapshot after the app verifies that current sync has no pending, syncing, failed, or queued work.
7. Confirm the destructive step intentionally. Premium and Exclusive restore creates a 24-hour restore-safety snapshot first, then asks you to type RESTORE exactly before continuing.
8. Keep sign-out and deletion separate. Sign-out clears local cached backup status and manifests, while account deletion removes live sync data, synced assets, and restore-point snapshots only after deletion blockers pass.
